Cresskill has much history within its 2 square miles. Camp Merritt was built during WWI as a major Army Distribution site. The monument which stands tall at the intersection of Madison Avenue & Knickerbocker Road is a Memorial and serves as a famous marker. Convenient location, near to major highways, makes this town very desirable. The Borough of Cresskill is special in its blend of people. Its townspeople are proud to call it home. Cresskill enjoys the charm and tranquility of a residential community. Attractive tree-lined streets, a low crime rate, quality municipal services, and plenty of small town charm is what makes the town special.

Several programs, initiatives, and technology enhancements continued into the 2012-2013 school year. For example, in the elementary schools the students will maintain their character education initiative that encourages students to accept and respect our differences.
